British Prime Ministers utterence could put Pakistanis lives and security at a serious risk every where in the world

.
Little do the Pakistan's government and people realize the gravity of the dangerous situation and repercussion the Pakistani community's abroad could face, especially the large number of them settled, studying or doing business and last not least Britain legislators of Pakistan origin, in UK, due to the utterly baseless charge made by the British Prime Minister. David Cameron, just to please India, for a few billion dollars business interests!

The Pakistan's honorable Prime Minister has very rightly questioned as to why did not the British Premier speak about human rights violations in the Indian Held Kashmir and further stated that Pakistanis had lost more lives then Nato and US put together .

Kudos for the ISI Chief for canceling his scheduled visit to UK and upholding the dignity of the country. Also to be hailed/lauded by mentioning here are the names of the political leaderships, who have assailed these remarks with strong condemnation. They include Mr.Altaf Hussain of the MQM and Punjab Chief Minister.Mr.Shahbaz Shari and Mr.Imran Khan,Chief of his party Tehreek-e-Insaf.

However it is a disappointment that the head of the state the honorable President of Pakistan is quite ?.There has been no comment as yet from the Presidency.

If viewed closely he has compromised the security and put the lives and business of the Pakistanis at a serious risk every where in the world. The security and lives of the Pakistanis have been endangered by such a wild accusation.Just imagine the situation as to how insecure the Pakistanis abroad must be feeling. What about the taunts which they would have to face at the hands of the Indians in particular and the rest of the non-Pakistanis ?.

This is not a matter to be taken lightly. It needs to be condemned and challenged at all forums. The British Prime Minister should be put to strict proof thereof his accusation or should retract his statement with an apology to the Pakistani Nation. Nothing less then that should be deeming to be acceptable to the government of Pakistan. In case it doesn't happen the our government should start to seriously review its relation with regards to Britain.

I agree that the matter should be politically dealt with, but without any bending backwards.Pakistan integrity, solidarity and sovereignty are very clearly in severe danger. The writing is visible on the wall without an invisible ink being used.

Compare India's given role in the war on terror and you will observe Pakistan is the destructive bad guy in the eyes of the Afghan and our own people in the 2 Provinces,Pakhtunkhawa and Baluchistan bordering Afghanistan.Since logistics and US bases and Drone attacks etc are all carried out from here.Whereas, India the good guys sitting clean with 1 Embassy and 17 consulates and umpteen sub-consulates based in that poor country?, pouring in heavy cash flow for constructive ventures and sitting in their lap the Afghan government to win over laurels.Pakistan is facing the worst energy crisis and India gets the civil nuclear facility by the US and when China and Iran step in to help they are objected too.

I would recommend that in case the apology or the retraction are not forthcoming then Pakistanis should totally boycott commercial dealings with UK and their products within our home markets .There are many other countries besides Britain with whom the whatever trade potential we have can be done. Why should we always remain at these peoples mercy?.The British have left the sub-continent ,but sadly our mindset and fear of them still lingers on.We must come out of that illusion.

It appears that Prime Minister, Mr.Cameron while making such unsubstantiated utterance about Pakistan is probably unaware about the role his own country had been playing while extending all types of facilities to dissidents arriving from all around the world to open shop and export terrorism to their respective countries of origin.

It is on the soil of his Majesty that individual, groups and Non- British political parties have bases from where they freely operate, control and initiate many movements leading to toppling of government, cause chaos, mayhem and anarchy in their respective countries, where they had been unsuccessful to do so. Why and how these dissidents are funded and through what channel the finances to operate flow to them in Britain? Is a million dollar question which should be put up to the respected, British, Prime Minister Mr. David Cameron?

While concluding I append below a note written by me some times back, related to the questions raised above:

"Is Britain a safe haven for exiled, dismissed or ousted political leaders?

I have always been quite curious that whenever Political leaders or a dictator, be it a deposed President or Prime Minister, an insecure political party head or an ousted dictator is forced to leave his country he/she, always beelines straight for London ?.Most of them being from the South Asian country’s.

What attracts them to choose this particular destination ? Makes one wonder !.Could it possibly be,Madame Tussuad famous wax museum or the London bridge ?The same one which we all seem to have have been so brainwashed with during the school going day’s with repeated recitation of the old nursery rhyme attributed with it and which went as “London Bridge is falling down, falling down…..”No, I don’t think so.Then it could be the world famous cricket grounds or maybe the beauty and splendor of the Queens, Buckingham Castle.Whatever may be the appeal which draws them to England one thing is certain it attracts them like bees in search of sweet stuff or source.!

The most strange and intriguing aspect of it all is, that they are always welcomed with open arms! They are given a free hand and facilitated to open their respective political offices, to carry out their political activities. Which at certain time’s could be deemed as interfering and attempting to disrupt within their respective country’s day to day smooth running and governing affairs. Most of these overseas activities are made possible through press conferences and public address via satellite tele-conferencing, to huge gatherings of their activist and sympathizers in their place of country.

In, a nutshell their respective shops do usual business within the safe haven of its Majesty’s, soil. Come to think of, on the contrary, I have yet to see a British or a European political leader heading to any other country even under extreme threat or fear of being executed etc and operating against their respective country's government in such manner and I am sure if it did happened they would immediately put up a formal protest to the host country for allowing to happen and or would go to the extent of seeking his or her extradition for a trial before their country’s court of law. Doesn’t this smack of maintaining double standards?.

This makes me wonder then why Britain is so liberal in accommodating them gladly and with such greatest of ease and not those who are keen to travel to their country to attain higher educational or professional studies or business opportunities. The latter groups it is observed comparatively have to undergo a great amount of difficulties to clear many painful and cumbersome rules and procedures to get desired clearance to acquire a visa for entering her Majesty’s, Great Britain.

The way my layman brain perceives this is, that possibly, British intelligentsia or their ally’s find these political heavy weights presence in their country as most advantageous and beneficial for their own political aims or intelligence reasons to attain a easy access through them to gain in-depth knowledge and latest information pertaining to the developments taking place within those country’s, to whom these exiled or self exiled leaders belong too?.And if necessitated or required use the asylum leader’s links to promote their vested political agenda and interests there through their good sources!

I could be wrong in my perception to, maybe it is solely due to humane reasons! What do you think?"

Pakistani Cricketers Guilty or Innocent Victims of a Planned Frame up, Conspiracy ???

Historically it is known that the English cricketers can be sore losers. The Bodyline tactic adopted by the English Captain Douglas Jardine during the ashes when Sir.Donald Bradmans Australians team had been about to rip them apart is no secret as to why or what made them do that. This link will be able to refresh memories of the bodyline series for those already familiar and enlighten those whose knowledge about it is insufficent.

" Douglas Jardine And The Bodyline Series

Find out what happened in the Bodyline series, the most controversial Ashes cricket tour of all, in which Douglas Jardine was dubbed a villain.

When the England cricket team set off for the Ashes tour to Australia 1932-33, nobody really gave them a chance. In recent years they had come across who most people agree to be the greatest batsman ever to have walked the Earth – Donald Bradman. In 1930 Bradman had almost single-handedly taken England’s bowlers apart."

But those doubters had not taken into account the ruthless planning of Douglas Jardine, the England captain, and his use of what became known as the ‘bodyline' tactic.

The allegation prove nothing. The law says innocent till proven guilty!Ironically,we have become habitual of putting the cart before the horse. At the drop of a pin we begin to condemning our own regardless of the fact whether it is true or not.In this case ,if we follow the whole series of evidence starting from that undated video. There is nothing which can prove that the boys are guilty of spot fixing allegations.Besides, the past record of Mazhar Majeed the so-called bookies who in fact is a reporter of the newspaper which gave the breaking news, clearly reveals and gives insight to the character he holds in Britain.

The ‘fake sheikh’ who shook cricket

Colonial slave mindset and subservience to the Gora Sahib does'nt appear to have worn out as yet,it seems.Whatever the Gora Sahib says has to be the Gospel truth. What the top leader of the Gora Sahib said about Pakistan exporting terrorism, while he was in India recently the truth ? or the Pakistani students who were arrested by the great Scotland Yard guilty ? Was Imran Khan proven guilty of ball tampeing charges, laid upon him by the English all rounder star,Ian Botham ?.Was Inzy team found guilty of the charges due to which the match got foreited. The reply to all these incidents and issues is simple NO !they were all never found guilty.Check out these links.

'Insufficient evidence' against Majeed, fears UK anti-corruption Chief

http://www.cricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/content/current/story/475246.html

This is absolute,CRAP ! If they feel there is insufficient evidence against the "FIXER" to prove that betting ever took place. Then on what grounds are they still asking the cricketing authorites to take strict action against the Pakistani players...On what Charges and what evidence ?.They must tender an apology to the whole Pakistan Cricket Team and the Pakistani Nation!!

unfortunately, habitually our reaction even then from the very start was similar to this particular issue.Believing the mere allegation on the grounds that since they have a poor back ground or not very literate they must have done it.....Where has it been proved that educated and rich individual never cheat, commit fraud and are not corrupt ? This not the correct yardstick of measuring and judging anyones innocence or guilt. Our country, President is an accused in such cases. He is educated with an apparently rich background !

What we must ponder in such related issue is that why is it so that always while playing in England and against them that Pakistan is always a victim of such allegations and scandals ?.Paki bashing is a favorite past time of theirs could be one reason, beside many others.Like in this issue this could possibly be to unnerve, demoralize and get rid of their star performers, prior to the forthcoming 5 ODI's and T20.Also dont forget the upcoming world cup is a short time ahead. If these players were to be banned it could harm Pakistan's prospects. It will not be an easy job to form a fresh team.Last but not least recall the consequences Pakistan had to face and pay due to the attack by the so-called terrorists on the Sri Lankan Cricket Team in Lahore. The honor of hosting the forthcoming World Cup matches was snatched away and Pakistan, got declared a dangerous nation for playing any further international matches.Who benifitted from it the most.It is anyones guess.Yes! India of course.

Hidden facts behind fake evidences of ‘News Of The World’!

BTW,about India centerd conspiracy, even this smells fishy in this case.ICC top heiarchy: President.Mr.Sharad Pawar,Indian Cabinit Minister...The ICC CEO,Mr.Haroon Lorgat,Indian....head of the council’s anti-corruption and security unit Ravi Sawani,Indian.Confirm it in the below submitted news link.... Not surprizing then the Fixer/Bookie', sister member of an underground Indian based bookies ???? Team players in trouble Pakistanis..Leave it upto you to get the drift.

Appropriate punishment if charges proved: ICC

http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/the-newspaper/front-page/06-appropriate-punishment-if-charges-proved-icc-180-rs-04

In the same link cited above ICC president was put up with questions about the Indian party. Here is the excerpt of his vague response: INDIAN PARTY’: The ICC chief had to face a barrage of questions about a suspected “Indian party”.

Sharad Pawar said he was unaware that the middleman, Mazhar Majeed, had told the tabloid that he worked for an “Indian party”.

“I don’t know,”...... the former Indian cricket chief said. “The BCCI (Indian cricket board) will have to take a view on that.

“The BCCI is one of our members and I am sure if any serious matter is there, the BCCI will take cognizance of this. “I can’t come to a conclusion based on a video.” http://www.dawn.com/wps/wcm/connect/dawn-content-library/dawn/the-newspaper/front-page/06-appropriate-punishment-if-charges-proved-icc-180-rs-04Personally,

I am very happy that for the first time our Cricket Board and our High commisioner for UK, has not taken any hasty decision and have very rightly choosen to protect their players dignty to suffer from mere unproven allegations brought upon them by the British media and to continue with the rest of the tour as it was planned initially.The link below quotes the Pakistan HC for Uk as saying as follows;

"LONDON: Pakistan High Commission in London said Tuesday Scotland Yard Police merely carried out investigation with Pakistani players alleged of cricket betting scam but however, they have so far leveled no charges upon them, Geo News reported.

In a statement issued from Pakistan HC in UK, shelving the impression that cricket team has been asked to abandon ongoing visit, said: “Neither any action is in progress against alleged players nor have they been asked to come back home.”

http://www.geo.tv/9-1-2010/70767.htm

There is no truthfulness in news pertaining to leaving out any player from squad neither the tour is going to be called off, the statement went on saying so.

All of them are innocent ! Inshallah they will further redeem their lost honor owing to this fabricated frame up,by defeating the English cricket team with unforgettable wide margins in the 5 ODI's and 2 T20 matches series!

Only the Right of Self Determination as, per the Kashmiris aspirations, alone to settle Indian Held Kashmir issue !

That is right !The Kashmiri leaders should not under anyones pressure allow the present momentum of the movement to break .As this is the moment for them to achieve their right of Self Determination as per their own aspirations!

The Indians have agreed to discuss all issues with Pakistan, inclusive of Kashmir issue. They have sought Pakistan's help in this regard. This clearly manifests their helplessness to control the present wave for freedom which is sweeping the Valley of the heaven on earth ,Kashmir!

Pakistani leaders and the government should be mindful not to fall short of any condition except that first India should agree to hold plebiscite to allow the Kashmiris, right to determine their fate as per their aspiration.Till, such time the talks of a temporary ceasefire between the Kashmir leaders leading the protests should not be agreed upon!

It is a fact the iron is hot, keep on hammering it to sculpt whatever it was made to smolder.Once it simmers downs a bit the it would be a difficult task to shape it according to what was desired.

It is strongly recommended and urged that the government of Pakistan, should not approch nor use its influence over the protesting Kashmiri, leaders to cease their ongoing protest, till such time India does not go public in aceeding to their (Kashmiris) demand for the Right of Self Determination as per their aspirations..Incase they do so they could be possibly harming their (Kashmiris) relentless struggle to be totally in vain.

It is quite possible that the sudden offer of India to hold tals with Pakistan, could be a ploy to use Pakistan to gain time and make space for a fresh strategy to launch to quell the strong uprising ?.

To me it seem intriguingly suspicious for them to had offered to hold dialogue with Pakistan and that to on all issues, especially after having stagnating them only due to the Mumbai attack in spite of Pakistan's repeated requests to begin them!

"Indian lawmakers met detained Kashmiri leaders on Monday, despite a boycott of government-sponsored talks to end the biggest independence uprising in Indian-held Kashmir in over 20 years, but no breakthrough was expected.

Among the Hurriyat leaders who met some members of the Indian delegation were Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who has emerged as the leading face of the anti-India demonstrations, and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the head of All Parties Hurriyat (Freedom) Conference.

The 40-member delegation was sent to the troubled region by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has been accused of not taking seriously enough the protests that exploded in held Kashmir this summer, causing more than 100 deaths.

Nearly all the victims have been killed by police bullets, heightening anger against New Delhi.

“We don’t want to live in a constant state of fear and state terrorism. Kashmir is an international dispute and it has to be addressed according to the wishes of the people,” Mr Farooq told the visitors, displaying photographs of young boys killed by police.

Talking to the AP news agency later, he described the Indian lawmakers’ visit as “a facade, a joke.”

“They have converted the entire Kashmir region into a prison and now a delegation has been sent to meet the besieged people,” Mr Farooq said.

Mr Geelani said talks could only be held if India accepts that Kashmir is an international dispute, releases all political prisoners and starts the withdrawal of hundreds of thousands of troops from the region.

“It’s a dream to restore normalcy unless India accepts this proposal. We will not surrender,” he said.

Mr Geelani and Mr Farooq, like other Hurriyat leaders, had refused to meet the delegation, prompting a few of the Indian politicians to visit them at their homes. Both were placed under house arrest on Monday morning by the police.

Mr Geelani spurned New Delhi’s offers of economic assistance for the region, saying “we want independence,” while Indian communist lawmaker Gurudas Dasgupta told Mr Farooq: “We do not agree with the Hurriyat demand for azadi (freedom). You must help in restoring the peace.”

Heavily armed security forces patrolled deserted streets and loudspeakers mounted on police vehicles asked residents to stay indoors in a bid to head off more protests, witnesses said. Seven people were injured when police fired at stone-pelting protesters in north Kashmir, police said.

Pro-India politicians in the Muslim-majority region asked the delegation for political concessions, including autonomy for the region and for the repeal of a widely hated law that gives security forces immunity in cases of civilian deaths.

The ruling National Conference and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party accept Indian rule in Kashmir.

APHC proposal

The All Parties Hurriyat Conference proposed setting up committees comprising leaders from both India and Pakistan as a way forward in resolving the decades-old Kashmir dispute.

“On our part, we are ready and willing to engage and sustain in a meaningful and irreversible process of dialogue and jointly develop and implement a solution to the Kashmir dispute that is acceptable to all sides – India, Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” said a memorandum sent to the Indian lawmakers.

India’s reaction to the proposal was not immediately known.“We are wary that your visit today, however well-intentioned, represents only an effort at a short-term crisis management, and that there is no clear commitment to a path toward effective resolution of the Kashmir issue,” Hurriyat’s memorandum added.—Agencies Indian lawmakers met detained Kashmiri leaders on Monday, despite a boycott of government-sponsored talks to end the biggest independence uprising in Indian-held Kashmir in over 20 years, but no breakthrough was expected. Crime and Criminals exist in every community, society religion and country of the world.

Crime and Criminals exist in every society of the world. Had it not been true, then there would have been at least one country in the world, which had no Jail!

These are the acts of individuals or specific groups committed or perpetrated due... to numerous reasons and causes, for instance out of greed, envy, frustration and coveted evilly designed nefarious plans. To generalize such acts and attribute it to a specific portion of society, religion or a country at large is entirely a wrong concept.

To enlighten those who believe in generalizing, I append below some links which would support and prove my contention in the opening sentences of my aforesaid comments. Please bear in mind that by submitting these few links ,I am not at attempting to condone crime nor justifying the crime committed in comparision within our society, rather being an humanitarian,I vehemently condemn crime of any nature or magnitude commited any where around the globe. However, I certainly wish to offer evidence that such acts are sadly nothing new and that they don’t only take place in our society alone!

1) Lynching in the United States:

Lynching, the practice of killing people by extrajudicial mob action, occurred in the United States chiefly from the late 1700s through the 1960s. This type of murder is most often associated with hanging, although it often included burning and various other methods of torture. Only rarely were lynches punished, or even arrested, for their crimes.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynching_in_the_US

2a) There could not be more sickening then this type of a crime in which a Mother kills her offsprings. This happens in high rate in a such a developed and advance nation whom the world undeniably accepts as the Super Power No.1.Yes!the United States of America.

Women Who Kill Their Children-11 Women Are on Death Row for Killing Their Kids

"The nation is always shocked by criminal cases such as Andrea Yates, a mother of five who methodically drowned all of her children in a bathtub then calmly called police, but mothers killing their children are more common than we might think." http://crime.about.com/od/female_offenders/a/mother_killers.htm

2b)America’s Famous Serial Killers!

http://www.dirjournal.com/info/americas-famous-serial-killers/

Now let’s come closer to our country. Our neighbors ,India.

3) Mob lynching culture on rise in Bihar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jox_CYyitGU

4)Thieves lynched by mob in police station http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpOoib0GTmg

5)Vaishali lynching: Officials suspended http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj4dWZh60_M

I conclude that our media and we ourselves as individuals are to be blamed of wrongly projecting or blowing out of proportion issues of the nature such as the one incident witnessed recently,to such an extent that more then the criminals who committed crime the whole nations gets to be maligned and put on trial in front of the world at large.

Tell me, those links posted above relating to the gruesome and heinous crimes committed within India, did they happen to ever come across your attention or were they repeatedly circulated for a long duration of time in the Indian press? or for that matter how many of the individual Indians post their own home garbage online here in this global village known as the WWW ? None, that I have witnessed or experianced having any knowledge of.

Responsibly, they do inform their public about the internals, but never in such a manner that it could be exploited by the external sources. It is never repeatedly kept in circulation till months end.

Unfortunately and sadly,in fact we are the ones who are in the habit of washing our dirty linen in public and as a consequence destroy the complete image of ourselves, our religion and the country! Thus allowing others to play according to their own tune and exploit and harm us.The Indians on the contrary under play such things and sweep the dust under the carpet painting a rosy picture, gaining the confidence and respect of the world in them..I believe this just goes to show that at times one could learn a good lesson from its worst foes ,as well.

That is why they are today being counted as an emerging super power of the world and we sadly dipping deep to a status of a failed state. It is about time we corrected our act and concentrated more on projecting the positivities which when paid due attention to are in great abundance around us compared to the few negativities that we continue to always surround ourselves with.

Best Regards.

USA, one of the biggest champions of women rights and emancipation, have never had a women President ever?

Wonder why? USA, one of the biggest champions of women rights and emancipation, have never had a women President ever?

women rights This makes me wonder how a Muslim state as Pakistan often considered and criticized by the west as a nation whose women have no equal rights and are oppressed.Has to its credit of having twice elected a female Prime Minister which of course was the late assassinated Mrs.Benazir Bhutto.Who took up the reins of one of the largest Party of Pakistan namely the,Pakistan Peoples Party after her Late father and Prime Minister.Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto death. The same party today is the ruling party, in Pakistan with Mr.Asif Zardari ,spouse of Benazir Bhutto as the President.

It appears they have surpassed US and the west in this department !!Even their Speaker of the National assembly (lower house) is a women,Mrs.Fehmida Mirza.

Strange then why does the west criticize them ? It is sheer hypocrisy and propaganda by the west against the east.

The fact is that women in South Asia and South East Asia have more equal rights to their opposite gender then the western females!Specially judging from the names like,Indira Gandhi (India),Bandranaike (Sri Lanka),Hasina Wajid(Bangladesh) and Benazir Bhutto (Pakistan).

Some are of the view and consider that the above ladies got where they did because of being the close relatives of famous male political personality’s like ; Benazir being the daughter of a man who had charisma you either loved or hated, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, there was no mid way with him and Benazir had been groomed by him and had the same kind of following. Indira Gandhi’s father, Nehru, another charismatic person, India has yet to outgrow the Nehru family. Hasina Wajid daughter of another charismatic leader, Mujib-ur- Rehman. Bandranaike took over after her husband died.

So even if all these ladies had very successful men behind them, but fact of course was the voters gave them their votes, despite the fact that they were women. I don’t think that men in South Asia are prejudiced against women, how can they be when in their early years they are ruled by their mothers and in the later years by their wives.

Being sibling of illustrious personality’s is no crime or matter of shame. If winning due to that without them having their own personal ability’s was the only factor, then Miss.Fatima Jinnah wouldn’t have lost the general elections against Field Marshal.Mohd Ayub Khan,in early 60’s. After all she was the sister of the founder of Pakistan Jinnah.George Bush Jr was the son of a formers US president.Hillary Clinton lost the elections in spite of being the former 1st lady as wife of President.Bill Clinton ?.

Possibly,USA may need someone so charismatic and strong to be in that post. The era from which USA is seeing itself passing can be handled by a wise and committed leader. Woman Leader can be carrying that attributes as we see.I think USA’s citizens have not yet found any such leader yet otherwise they may had chosen someone for this seat long ago!! I don’t know if there is any legal or legislative binding exists, but the only reason I see is the absence of any such Woman leader in the history of USA. But ,it would amount to being naive to say that out of 50+ states of one of the most powerful, advanced and literate nation like the US, not one or two woman matching above stated characteristic for a leader has yet taken birth ! Secondly there isn’t any legal or legislative binding or restraining females to stand for the Presidential election.

I feel, this show that sexism exists more there then the South Asian and South East nation country’s as propagandized by them and the west.It is a fact that nations less in all respect to the US have been within decades of some of their nations inception produced such female head of states, namely.(late) Mrs.Indira Gandhi,(late) Ms.Benazir Bhutto,Mrs.Hasina shaikh Wajid,Mrs,Bandranaike.

The question is if these small nations were able to find such talented charismatic female leaders in decades not forgetting western country like UK , with reference to Mrs.Margaret thatcher former Prime Minister of England and the Chancellor of Germany etc .How come US since its inception in century’s have been unsuccessful ? The truth is that there isn’t any dearth of brilliant females to be worthy candidates to their opposite genders in America. The problem as I see it is that the average American males are possibly chauvinists in mentality. They have that phony macho-ism attitude towards the females in that country. They don’t want their women folks beyond a certain level of public office. Probably,If they had their way completely they would restrict the women folks to the extent of their bed and not any further.

What a shame ! I hope that the emancipated, enlightened, educated, intelligent and brilliant but naive and simple females of the American population would now realize that they are not as free as they believe themselves to be.!!!

How to tackle the wave of terrorism on war footing within Pakistan !!!!

How to tackle the wave of terrorism on war footing within Pakistan.

Since 9/11, incident and the US attack in its aftermath on Afghanistan to chase down Osama bin laden, the prime accused chief of Al-Qaeda network.Pakistan joined hands with the US and the NATO forces as a front line ally. This resulted in Pakistan becoming the main target of the terrorists to bear the brunt within that region.

The bad news for Pakistan came when the foreign funded and fully armed insurgency under the name of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) surfaced in its Northern areas of Swat and FATA (now Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa Province )and spread terror amongst the locals, attempting to forcefully implement their own brand of Islamic Shariah.Fortunately the brave Pakistan army launched an operation against these fully sophisticated armed militants, eliminating most of them, with some escaping and fleeing to the Southern region where lay the bastion of evils strong hold. The Mehsud tribe of South Waziristan.

However, it wasn’t for very long that they could breath easily there too, because the valiant Pakistani Armed forces had launched operation Nijaat to completely eliminate them from the soil of Pakistan forever.Unfortunately such actions against evil never are without some repercussions and sadly for the Pakistani citizens it turned into a nightmare of string of terrorist suicidal blasts and armed terror attacks, in nearly most of its northern Pakistan’s main cities like Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Lahore etc.

Even today while the brave soldiers of the Pakistan army fight and steadily gains ground to advance swiftly and successfully into the militants strongholds located in the Northern Tribal belt and its adjoining areas. The terror still abates in the form of a last cowardly resort within the cities and upon the innocent citizens by the militants stooges holed up there. Believing this would browbeat and shake the moral of the people and seek of the army to stop their operation. However these cowardly criminal terrorist little know that the courageous citizens of this motherland will under no circumstances get frightened or loose heart. They know for sure that one fine day soon these criminals shall be forever erased from our Pakistani soil by their brave soldiers by whom they all proudly standby and support and salute.

However, the need of the hour does still remains that quick time emergency preventive actions be devised on how to effectively deal with the threat that we are facing in the cities in the form of suicide bomb blasts and terrorism related raids in physical attacks form on educational institutions and sensitive installations. I personally feel that to control this threat immediately the government needs to make the terrorist” ineffective” and then go about how to them apprehend them,” physically”. Bare handed terrorists are like a toothless and fang trimmed tiger. I am sure you shall agree!

To explain what I mean by making them “ineffective” is that their sources of arms and ammunition needs to be plugged tightly to deprive them of such materials which are instrumental in causing death and destruction in large areas causing causalities in huge numbers. Funding of cash isn’t that important as is starving them of this equipment and material they easily get to lay hands on, to make bombs and mind you the vehicles in which they easily reach their targeted destinations. It is obvious they buy and obtain such material either from the local market or from some external source that is apart from the vehicles they use. The, RDX used in the making of bombs isn’t some thing which one can purchase over the counter, like buying an aspirin for a common headache? From what I understand locally its permitted sale is to licensed and registered organization engaged mainly in the mining or the construction projects such as of roads to cut mountains through explosives. Besides RDS there are many other components which are used in the making of a bombs planted or fitted in suicide Jackets. The latter type of bombing (Suicide) has been seen as the most effective threat from the terrorist and most difficult or safe to say uncontrolled by the law enforcement and security agencies till date.

The first effective measure for how to go about starving them would be to identify the external routes from where these materials and equipments possibly flow in and reach their hands and then tightly plug them. To achieve this border security at the Afghanistan and Indian borders has to become very vigilant and check posts should ensure through checking of all vehicles bringing in goods from across the borders. Simultaneously, internally the inter-city and inter provincial routes should also have fixed and mobile checking squads. It is not only the land route that needs to be watched but the coastal areas,as well.. The Navy and the coast guards should keep a vigil on the fishing boats as it is quite possible that this could be the most vulnerable one through which the arms and the explosives can be smuggled in large quantities. For the curtailment of explosive materials being obtained from internal sources, falling into their hands thorough investigation by means of checking the records of those organization and contractor to whom these RDS material was sold legally its present stock and the amount used by them on the project should be made accountable and verified. Car snatching and lifting should be taken seriously for it is this means by way of which these terrorist obtain transportation for themselves for reaching their destination and for monitoring the targets for planning an attack .At the first report of a stolen vehicle by the victim the police should act seriously to recover the vehicle. Which unfortunately till now has never been given much importance.

If analyzed closely the 2005 earthquake,in its aftermath the terrorist bombing attacks intensity had increased , I feel increase was due to the numerous NGO'' getting excuse to bring in unchecked goods, could have also contained some meant for the terrorist. The same pattern if observed followed the Floods which deluged Pakistan, recently. I believe these disasters were possibly not entirely natural calamity's but the possibly man made as well.Created for three reasons.1) To cause economical devastation and chaos for the reasons of raising an anarchical situation.2) The chaos caused by them turns into a pretext to gain free and unhindered access into the country in any numbers. 3)Smuggle in arms and ammunition . In view of the aforesaid, I suggest that the NGO'S activities and the good should be closely monitored.

Last but not least the local security companies having affiliation with foreign principles needs very strict and careful monitoring. The case pertaining to the local security company Inter-Risk based in Islamabad and having affiliations with a infamous Private Military Contractors (PMC) called the Dyno corp,US is a glaring example of how prohibited weapons were being imported into Pakistan for usage unknown.

A media campaign should be launched to educate the ordinary public on how they can be helpful in identifying the suspicious elements with their areas. And the authorities should announce special numbers for the public to inform on.

As regards to the bigger group like TTP our brave Pakistan army’s soldiers have taken care of them in the Swat operation and Inshallah, very soon would eliminate the rest of the poisonous vipers during the ongoing operation launched in the South Waziristan by them.

Anyways the core of the matter in the article is that instead of pursuing the terrorist priority should be given to stop the arms from reaching their hands.

In a nutshell my own coined quote is : Clip the wings of a bird it would not.. Fly.

Dry out the source of weapons to the terrorist it would not .... Terrify".

Is Britain a safe haven for exiled, dismissed or ousted political leaders?

Is Britain a safe haven for exiled, dismissed or ousted political leaders?

They are given a free hand and facilitated to open their respective political offices, to carry out their political activity’s.Which at certain time’s could be deemed as interfering and attempting to disrupt within their respective country’s day to day smooth running and governing affairs. Most of these overseas activities are made possible through press conferences and public address via satellite tele-conferencing, to huge gatherings of their activist and sympathizers in their place of country.

In, a nutshell their respective shops do usual business within the safe haven of its Majesty’s, soil.Come to think of, on the contrary, I have yet to see a British or a European political leader heading to any other country even under extreme threat or fear of being executed etc and operating against their respective country's government in such manner and I am sure if it did happened they would immediately put up a formal protest to the host country for allowing to to happen and or would go to the extent of seeking his or her extradition for a trial before their country’s court of law.Doesn't this smack of maintaining double standards ?.

The way my layman brain perceives this is, that possibly, British intelligentsia or their ally’s find these political heavy weights presence in their country as most advantageous and beneficial for their own political aims or intelligence reasons to attain a easy access through them to gain in-depth knowledge and latest information pertaining to the developments taking place within those country’s, to whom these exiled or self exiled leaders belong too ?.And if necessitated or required use the asylum leader’s links to promote their vested political agenda and interests there through their good sources!

I could be wrong in my perception to, maybe it is solely due to humane reasons! What do you think ?

The UN is not an independent body… Free it, please!!!

The UN is not an independent body… Free it, please!!!

The UN general assembly is literally a puppet to the powerful influence of the Super Power members of the security council.

A simple veto to a resolution passed by the general assembly can be rejected.Implying it is not being run on democratic norms. It is practically hostage to 7 nations. So why have it in the first place ?.

The way I see it is that the UN should be based on truly democratic structure similar to the Parliamentary form of governance. All member states should have the right to forward their point of view on a matter which comes forward to it for deliberation and their vote should be in equal value of all nations irrespective of its power status..It should be put to secret ballot and on the basis of simple majority the resolution should be passed and sent to the the upper house for further vetting(detailed below) then implemented in the same spirit within shortest possible time frame.

Secondly, it is necessary for check and balance a different version of upper house be formulated. It should not be in the characteristic of the security council rather on the pattern of the Senates which exist as upper houses in both the Parliamentary and Presidential forms of governance. The members should be elected from all continents country’s on proportionate basis .Like for instance,Asia,Africa,America ,Australia, etc.

The two Houses should have their speakers or chairman’s as functional heads. The Secretary General should be the titular head for administrative ,Public relations etc duties.

The above is a loosely drafted suggestion. If put to a think tank for formulation purposes, it could be turned into a reality and thus provide the world with a truly democratic and independent world body to provide justice and fair play to all and for maintenance of global peace.

The 1971 war a sad and great loss….But not a disgrace!!!

The 1971 war a sad and great loss….But not a disgrace!!!

This was not won by India nor was lost by Pakistan due to the Indian army’s valiance. There were Geo-political and strategic reasons for this surrender of the Pakistani Jawans.

a) The Eastern wing was facing an insurgency of a separatist nature, due to political conflicts which arose after the general election held that year, in both the wings of Pakistan. This was taken as an advantage by the Indians and they stemmed it further by arming and funding the insurgents. The Indians army took this as a golden opportunity and attacked the Eastern wing.

b) While the Pakistan army was facing the full lethally armed, Indian supported militant rebels, Mukhti Bahini, the cowards were attacking them from the rear.

c) Geographically, the two wings stood separated by the sea at a huge distance of approx 1000 miles apart. Therefore creating a severe handicaps, logistically to the Pakistan army for sending reinforcement as well as fighting material.Whereas, India had its borders enjoined and with the greatest of logistic advantage and the full support of the internally armed local rebels of the Eastern wing, they sandwiched the Pakistani force stationed there. They were made to fight the Indians at the front line while the rebels attacked from the rear. In this scenario it was tactically and technically not possible for the marooned and short of supply Pakistani soldiers to continue with the fight. Thus being left with no other option, they laid down their arms and surrendered to the enemies (not one but two, India and the rebels, Mukti Bahni's).

Pakistan was let down by its so-called Ally the USA.They had promised to send in the seventh Fleet to remove the Indian blockade at the sea separating the two wings and aid the Marooned Pakistani soldiers.Alas !but it never did turn up at all !!!

Blame Game;

Though it is to some extent correct that the army had morally degenerated after taking over command in the former East Pakistan(Ref Hamood-ur-Rehman report Introduction) .But it would be unfair to over look the back ground and the circumstances which led to the allegations on them...Since some refer to the Hamoodur Rehman inquiry report in support of this blame laying it squrely on the Pakistan Army. I took out some time to briefly go through it.The Chapter two of the report under reference clearly throws the onus of the initiative on the Awami League Militants atrocities unleashed upon non-Bengalis and holds these atrocities commited as responsible for the sad and henious alleged crimes by the forces led by the senior army officials.... In a way it states that it was due to these horrofic details and tales which were carried by victims who had managed to escaped Awami leagues militants henious crimes and wrath and had arrived safely to the then West Pakistan. That the mindset of the forces sent from the West naturally were affected and led to a reprisal of sort. I append below the contents of chapter two of the inquiry report under reference for your perusal:

Hamoodur Rahman Commission Report

Chapter 2

Alleged atrocities by the Pakistan Army

As is well-known, the conduct of the Pakistani army, while engaged in counter-insurgency measures is East Pakistan since March 1971, has come in for a lot of criticism from several quarters. We had occasion to deal with the subject in Paragraphs 5-8 of Chapter II of Part V of the main report. We have examined this question further in the light of fresh evidence recorded by us.

Misdeeds of the Awami League Militants:

2. It is necessary that this painful chapter of the events in East Pakistan be looked at in its proper perspective. Let it not be forgotten that the initiative in resorting to violence and cruelty was taken by the militants of the Awami League, during the month of March, 1971, following General Yahya Khan's announcement of the 1st of March regarding the postponement of the session of the National Assembly scheduled for the 3rd of March 1971. It will be recalled that from the 1st of March to the 3rd of March 1971, the Awami League had taken complete control of East Pakistan, paralysing the authority of the federal government. There is reliable evidence to show that during this period the miscreants indulged in large scale massacres and rape against pro-Pakistan elements, in the towns of Dacca, Narayanganj, Chittagong, Chandraghona, Rangamati, Khulna, Dinajpur, Ghafargaoa, Kushtia, Ishurdi, Noakhali, Sylhet, Maulvi Bazaar, Rangpur, Saidpur, Jessore, Barisal, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajgonj, Comilla, Brahman Baria, Bogra, Naugaon, Santahar, and several other smaller places.

3. Harrowing tales of these atrocities were narrated by the large number of West Pakistanis and Biharis who were able to escape from these places and reach the safety of West Pakistan. For days on end, all through the troubled month of March 1971, swarms of terrorised non-Bengalis lay at the Army-controlled Dacca airport awaiting their turn to be taken to the safety of West Pakistan. Families of West Pakistani officers and other ranks serving with East Bengal units were subjected to inhuman treatment, and a large number of West Pakistani officers were butchered by the erstwhile Bengali colleagues.

4. These atrocities were completely blacked out at the time by the Government of Pakistan for fear of retaliation by the Bengalis living in West Pakistan. The Federal Government did issue a White Paper in this behalf in August 1971, but unfortunately it did not create much impact for the reason that it was highly belated, and adequate publicity was not given to it in the national and international press.

5. However, recently, a renowned journalist of high-standing, Mr. Qutubuddin Aziz, has taken pains to marshal the evidence in a publication called "Blood and Tears." The book contains the harrowing tales of inhuman crimes committed on the helpless Biharis, West Pakistanis and patriotic Bengalis living in East Pakistan during that period. According to various estimates mentioned by Mr. Qutubuddin Aziz, between 100,000 and 500,000 persons were slaughtered during this period by the Awami League militants.

6. As far as we can judge, Mr Qutubuddin Aziz has made use of authentic personal accounts furnished by the repatriates whose families, have actually suffered at the hands of the Awami League militants. He has also extensively referred to the contemporary accounts of foreign correspondents then stationed in East Pakistan. The plight of the non-Bengali elements still living in Bangladesh and the insistence of that Government on their large-scale repatriation to Pakistan, are factors which appear to confirm the correctness of the allegations made against the Awami League in this behalf.

Provocation of the Army

7. We mention these facts not in justification of the atrocities or other crimes alleged to have been committed by the Pakistani Army during its operations in East Pakistan, but only to put the record straight and to enable the allegations to be judged in their correct perspective. The crimes committed by the Awami League miscreants were bound to arouse anger and bitterness in the minds of the troops, especially when they were not confined to barracks during these weeks immediately preceding the military action, but were also subjected to the severest of humiliations. They had seen their comrades insulted, deprived of food and ration, and even killed without rhyme or reason. Tales of wholesale slaughter of families of West Pakistani officers and personnel of several units had also reached the soldiers who were after all only human, and reacted violently in the process of restoring the authority of the Central Government

I share the depressive feeling with all for the sad loss and for what transpired prior to it.But there are certain reflections given the back drop of this huge loss and tragedy are really not what they appear to be if viewed fron another perspective.Lets not forget that every coin has two sides to it and each carry's a different picture.Z.A Bhutto, may had acted in self interest in the aftermath of the election results. However the facts reveal that even if he had conceded to the demands of the Awami League leadership. The separation would have had still taken place as it was pre-destined according to the plans envisaged much earlier by the Awami league chief Sheikh Mujib-ur-Rehman.I personally feel that politicians of the west were entrapped into situation that they should in history be held responsible for something which would have taken place regardless of the pre-text created for it to happen. I am appending below an excerpt and its link which would to some extent briefly explain my aforsaid contention.

Agartala conspiracy was real: Mujib planned secession in 1969-Traitor’s daughter confesses.

For the past 39 years politicians and the “Blame Pakistan first” crowd have blamed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for saying “Humm iddhar tum uddhar” (a quote which has since been refuted as bogus), and blamed the Pakistan Army for the attack on the Mukti Bahni militants on March 23rd as the reason for the creation of Bangladesh.

Ms. Hasina Mujib the daughter of Sheikh Mujib Ur Rehman has now confessed that Sheikh Mujib had planned to secede from Pakistan in 1969–two years before the March 23rd “Military Action” against Bharati (aka Indian) saboteurs and their misguided supporters in Dhaka. General Mankeshaw wrote a book in which has claimed that he recruited 80,000 Hindus to create the Mukti Bahni. These terrorists were dressed up in Pakistan Army uniform and raped and pillaged Bengalis. They also were dressed up as civilians carrying out acts of sabotage against the civil and military government of Pakistan.

Sheikh Hasina Mujib’s confession shed new light on the events of March 23rd, 1971 because it proves that the Agartala Conspiracy was a real conspiracy sponsored by Bharat against Pakistan. President Ayub Khan had indicted Sheikh Mujib Ur Rehman as a traitor

Just to refresh memories: it was on 1 March, that Gen.Yahya Khan announced the indefinite postponement of the opening of parliament. The following day Sheikh Rahman called a general strike, which resulted in riots in the east. To this came al...so the mutiny of Bangali elements within the Pakistani military: on 3 March 1971, for example, even the Bangali officers of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) stationed at Tejgaon Air Base, near Dacca, threatened to mutiny. Later in the month, the Awami League went so far to declare independence of East Pakistan, as Bangla Desh.

The Pakistan Army (PA) was already on the move, sending reinforcements to East Pakistan onboard Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 707s and PAF Lockheed C-130B Hercules transports. In total, within the following weeks three PA divisions were transported to Dacca, the capital of East Pakistan, mainly via Colombo, in Sri Lanka. This airlift was reportedly supported by C-130s of the Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF) and Türk Havva KuvvetlerI/Turkish Air Force (THK), but it seems that actually Iran used this opportunity to donate all of its four older C-130Bs to PAF – despite an US arms embargo imposed on Pakistan. The heavy equipment of the Pakistani divisions followed, transported by a convoy of ships, escorted by warships of the Pakistani Navy (PN).

On 25 March 1971, Martial Law Administrator in the East, General Tikka Khan, was ordered to “sort things out”, and arrest the sheikh.Their first immediate problem was a mutiny of Bangali PA troops, lead by Maj. Rafiq-ul-Islam, which brought a part of Chittagong and several towns nearby under control. Already on 26 March, a PA column advancing from Chittagong towards Kumira was ambushed and 70 PA officers and soldiers killed, causing the others to flee in panic. Without knowing what was going on, PA Maj.Gen. Khadim Hussain Raja flew in a PAF Aérospatiale SA.316B Alouette III helicopter attempting to find the missing column: his helicopter came under fire and was damaged several times, after which the search was cancelled.

The PA’s reaction was swift: reinforcements were deployed from Dacca to the naval base of Chittagong by C-130s and helicopters, on 26 and 27 March, and two columns moved out, one towards Agrabad Road, the other towards Halishahar. The later, moving along the coastline, was also ambushed and suffered heavy casualties, its scattered survivors then being beaten to death in local villages. It was not before 28 March that the local PA commanders re-established control over their troops and continued advance – partially with support of naval artillery bombardment. Two days later the Pakistani forces, with support of Canadair Sabre F.Mk.6s and North American F-86F Sabres from No.14 Squadron PAF (the sole Pakistan Air Force unit based in East Pakistan, originally equipped with 19 Sabres, two T-33As, three Pilatus PC-3 light transports, a single DHC-3 Otter and at least four SA.316B Alouette III helicopters, and based at Tejgaon AB, near Dacca) overran Halishahar after hours-long hand-to-hand battle. By 2 April also the “Bangla Desh” Radio Station in Chittagong was captured by Pakistani troops, in operation code-named “Searchlight”. PA’s mop up operations continued for the following four days. The stream of PIA commercial flights to Dacca via Colombo, with Pakistani soldiers on board, continued: by mid-April two full PA divisions were deployed to East Pakistan.

After stabilizing the situation in Chittagong and the surrounding area, and reinforced by additional troops, on 2 May, Gen. Tikka ordered advance on Ramgarh, Cox’s Bazar and Kaptai. Combining several conventional columns with heliborne deployment of commandos behind enemy lines, the PA troops advanced swiftly and crushed the mutineers, forcing the survivors to flee over the border to India. In the final action, between 26 May and 6 June, the last territory under Bengali control was mopped up and the PA was now back in control of East Pakistan. Having crushed the revolt in East Pakistan.

By April 1971, the locals began fighting back, forcing West Pakistan to send additional reinforcements and intensify the campaign against mutineers, meanwhile directly supported by India and known as Mukti Bahini (better known in the West as “Mukhti Bakhini”) – or “Freedom Battalion/Force/Army”.

Mukti Bahini were not “just another” insurgent force: on the contrary, their original core consisted of defectors from the former East Bengal Regiments of the Pakistani Army, who reached the Indian soil and also those Hindus who had fled East Pakistan and crossed over to India and had returned after having recieved complete training in the art of gurrela warfare. They were soon reinforced by a considerable number of volunteers, mainly students, then during April and May, Pakistan had purged Bangalis from the armed forces. Many others defected, while those who remained were not trusted. Result was that the combat effectiveness of Pakistani units suffered considerably:

Once in India, together with other volunteers from East Pakistan, they were trained and organized into six new East Bengal Regiments, in June 1971. By November 1971, the Mukti Bahini was reinforced by addition of three artillery batteries, ...as well as a small flying service (operating two Aérospatiale SA.316B Alouette III helicopters, one DeHavilland Canada DHC-3 Otter and a single Douglas DC-3 Dakota transport). They were counting up to 85.000 and their order of battle during the war in December was as follows:

- K Force/Brigade, consisting of 10th and 11th East Bengal Regiment and No.3 Field Battery- S Force/Brigade, consisting of 2nd and 4th East Bengal Regiment, and No.1 Field Battery- Z Force/Brigade, consisting of 1st, 3rd, and 8th East Bengal Regiment, and No.2 field Battery.

Sheikh Mujib-ur Rehmans 6 points demand was probably the reason or hesitancey to accept him as the Prime Minister:

Personally,if I had been in place of Yahya Khan.I would have accepted the results which came out from the elections. The Awami league in the elections, held on 17 December 1970, won 298 out of 310 seats in the east, and 167 seats in the national parliament.By all fairness he should have been the Prime Minister of the undivided Pakistan.I personally agree injustice was not done in this regard. However,it appears that the demand which By 1966 the leading political figure in East Pakistan, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had put forward the six-point programme that proposed the establishment of a federal Pakistan, with central government having very limited powers could have had something to do with this reservation pertaining to the hesitancy of the acceptence. It is said that the Yahya regime immediately put pressure on the sheikh to come to an agreement, but he refused: on 1 March,Yahya Khan announced the indefinite postponement of the opening of parliament. The following day Sheikh Rahman called a general strike, which resulted in riots in the east. To this came also the mutiny of Bangali elements within the Pakistani military: on 3 March 1971, for example, even the Bangali officers of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) stationed at Tejgaon Air Base, near Dacca, threatened to mutiny. Later in the month, the Awami League went so far to declare independence of East Pakistan, as Bangla Desh.

Political Game:

Besides, the elections pretext there were deeper political conspiracy which were mainly resultant in this separation coming around.

I understand,Yahya had hoped that Pakistan’s good relations to China and the USA would enable him to counter ...any threat from India. If war came he could use the Chinese to tie down large parts of the Indian Army, and eventual gains India could make in the west could be traded against any losses in the east. Equally, he expected to receive military aid from different Moslem countries

This was a dangerous miscalculation: the Chinese declared they would fully support the Pakistani people in safeguarding state sovereignty, but provided no full support for the unity and integrity of the nation Islamabad wanted. China was not going to become involved in a war against India. Most of the other Islamic countries provided only minimal or no help at all. As the sub-continent drifted towards war the regime in Islamabad was clearly on its own, facing India that was stronger in military sense than ever before.

Under US pressure, meanwhile, India was becoming increasingly isolated at the UN: up to the end of July the USSR attempted maintaining a balanced approach to New Delhi and Islamabad in an effort to increase her influence on the sub-continent. When the USA and China openly moved toward closer mutual relations and both supported the Pakistani position, Moscow concluded Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation with New Delhi, on 9 August 1971, providing a much needed support for Indian position at the UN. From that moment onwards, the Soviet Union opposed every proposal that could allow a political settlement regarding the future of East Pakistan.

India considered the situation in East Pakistan as most dangerous threat to her security. Although many observers disputed corresponding Indian reports, thousands, and then millions of refugees streamed over the border in 1971, putting additional strain on a country that already had enough social and economic difficulties on its own. An attempt to send the refugees back was impossible, and as diplomacy failed India was left to her own resources. That could only mean war.

India contemplated military action already in May, but decided to wait until its Army was trained to fight in the flat conditions of East Pakistan. Moreover, by delaying action for months, the high Himalaya Passes would be blocked off, preventing Chinese intervention. In addition, on 9 August 1971, an agreement with the Soviet Union was reached to keep Chinese busy as well.

On 4 December 1971 , the United States moved a draft resolution calling for cease-fire and withdrawal of Indian forces, which was vetoed by Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Thereafter, another six resolutions including one by China were introduced calling for cease-fire and withdrawal of forces, some of which were accepted by Pakistan. However, due to behind the scene political machinations by India and her allies their passage and implementation was stalled till Dhaka fell on 16 December 1971 and the cease-fire had been perfidiously converted to surrender.”

Flawed national and operational strategy proved to; be disastrous for Pakistan , both politically and militarily. Power, national and operational strategy, the methodology of crisis and conflict management

However,I agree and conclude, it was a very sad loss and could have been avoided provided the leaderships of both the wings had dealt with it wisely!

But mind you now no such situation exists in case the Indians think they can defeat Pakistan if God forbid a war gets started for any reason between these nuclear states.

The Trillion dollar question is who is Funding the Taliban's? And how do the Arms and Ammunition reach them?

The Trillion dollar question is who is Funding the Taliban's? And how do the Arms and Ammunition reach them?

Afghan Taliban’s, engaged in fighting the combined NATO and US occupational army in Afghanistan and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) raising insurgency within Pakistani territory are very heavily armed and equipped with the latest and most sophisticated weapons !

It is worth pondering as to who is funding them and by means of which route does their supply’s reach them? Is there some external force/s interest involved in this destabilization in Pakistan, in particular? It is pertinent that proper thorough investigation be conducted as to from whom the Taliban get money and funds to run their terror game and why?!!

It couldnt be from the poppy trade as it is a known fact that during the Taliban rule over Afghanistan they were instrumental in implementing a successful drug eradication program, with the support and collaboration of the UN. Implemented in 2000-2001, the Taliban's drug eradication program led to a 94 percent decline in opium cultivation. In 2001, according to UN figures, opium production had fallen to 185 tons. Immediately following the October 2001 US led invasion, production increased dramatically, regaining its historical levels.

This possibility was been ruled out as the main funding factor by Mr. Richards Holbrooke, special envoy of President .Obama, for Afghanistan and Pakistan affairs, at press briefing and other forums many a months ago. However,I do recall that after having made this statement he changed it again and went back to the drug being the main source of Taliban during EU meeting latter on.

It would be fair to first comprehend the difference between the two Taliban’s operating on each side of the Afghanistan and Pakistan borders must be understood while reading the text contents down below!

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in particular is totally parallel to Afghan Taliban mostly carrying Pashtun people in their force. If their basic aim and cause is to be observed, Afghan Taliban have prime target to send the Americans and NATO packing out of Afghanistan and Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP ) has the goal of implementation of their own brand of Sharia inside Pakistan under the banner of Wahabism.

There are many views expressed by people from different walks of life on this issue when raised on public forums. Some claim that the funding is by Saudi citizens or Princes, sympathizers of Bin Laden, for the cause of promoting wahabism (one of the Muslim religious school of thought) .Others claim that it is the religious parties based in Pakistan who are helping them sustain while few feel that it is the neighboring country, India’s RAW, Israel, Mossad and American CIA,intelligentsia combined conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan to make it look like a failed state whose nuclear arsenal are in danger of falling into the hands of the armed Muslim fundamentalists/militants, the Taliban's.Some of the analysts claim that the arms supplied by the US to the Afghanistan have some how leaked to the Taliban’s and also another version is that the Taliban’s old foes in Afghanistan the Northern alliance have some how been helping them out by selling their arms and ammunition. The more mouths the greater the view points and speculations.

Let us examine and rule out the possibilities above on one by one basis.

Drug Money from the poppy crop: which according to some estimate is second largest trade in the world after oil and its earning are in billions. It is also claimed that about 9o+ percentage is from Afghanistan. Though these statistics could be correct yet it is a fact that during the Taliban’s rule 1996 till their being ousted by the US invasion in 2001 there is substantial evidence that the poppy cultivation declined during the Taliban rule by 97% i.e. from 3600 tonnes to 1.85 and rose to record 4700 tonnes after the US invasion and the continued rule till now of its backed puppet regime of MR.Karzai.These figure were corroborated by the UN team.http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO404A.html andhttp://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2005-05-12-csm-afghan-drugs_x.htm .

Saudi citizen sympathizers of Bin laden and to promote Wahabism in Northern regions of Pakistan through TTP and in Afghanistan by Taliban’s of Afghanistan: If anybody was to believe that then the only wise comment would be that the US have made a mistake by invading Iraq and Afghanistan! Actually they should have targeted the Saudi Arabians..I really don’t think there is a case, it is openly trying to throw the suspicion unto Saudi Arabia. We all know that Saudi’s royalty and its subject would never get involved in supporting criminal activity which the militants at present are perpetrating against their loyal friend Pakistan and of course their ally’s the USA. It is apparent it is inferred only for the reason that Osama, is from Saudi Arabia apart from that linkage the contention are entirely based on suppositions. I find it is very hard to digest something which emanates from mere gossiping! What is the motivation and benefits these Saudi citizens can accrue by dishing out their wealth to some one like Osama or by having Pakistan destabilized? Regarding the Wahabism cause! The truth is never ever in Wahabism it is taught to blow mosques, tombs, girls’ schools and kill innocent people through suicide bombing. No, one can quote a single statement of a Wahhabi Scholar based in Saudi Arabia who endorses Suicide killings in markets, public places, blowing up Mosques of rival groups,Funerals and Hospitals etc. It,evidently appears to be deliberately involving Saudis in the havoc inside Pakistan and creating a sense of mistrust for the Pakistan and Saudi relations, who are since ages sincere to each other and to all the Muslims. As stated earlier above, TTP (Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan) has their goal of implementing their own brand of Sharia inside Pakistan under their self styled banner of Wahabism.Which has been rejected by both the Muslims school of thought the Barelvi and the Deobandi.

The Religious Parties in Pakistan: A far out and not remotely possible! as they themselves are dependent on funding for their own Madras functioning and survival, from the country mostly like U.A.E and M.E etc.So how could they ever afford such huge amounts which the Taliban’s appear to be receiving on regular basis. Secondly all have jointly already condemned and rejected the actions carried out so far by the TTP and the brand of shariah they(TTP) claim for to be implemented in Pakistan.

The neighboring country, India’s RAW, Israel’s Mossad and American CIA,intelligentsia combined conspiracy to destabilize Pakistan to make it look like a failed state whose nuclear arsenal are in danger of falling into the hands of the Muslim fundamentalists armed militants, the Taliban's.:This is a general view prevalent within the Pakistani populace that we need to understand. It is believed that Uzbek's operating with TTP are loyal to Northern Alliance of Afghanistan, Afghan National Army and most importantly they are in alliance with Americans, Indians and Israelis. They are being continuously supported, armed, funded and trained by US Intelligence just to create havoc in the northern Areas of Pakistan.. This is evident since many of those foreign militants killed in the ongoing Pak-army operation Rah-e-Rast were Uzbek's. it is also a fact that they have been linked with the country’s that have been allegedly or presumably been named, so did Pakistan in those days.! But the Northern alliance it is a known fact has never been Pakistan friendly even during the cold war days .Secondly it was observed that since the activities of the TTP increased in Pakistan the focus of terrorist attack in Afghanistan on US and NATO forces had declined drastically. This could be a possible gain? It is also given to understand by the local defense analysts views expressed through the media that there are 17 regiments of the Indian Army alongside the border working under the Umbrella of the US and sheltering and arming the terrorists for activities into Pakistan. It is believed that the Taliban’s are mere puppets in the hands of vested foreign non-Muslim interests. That they have been propped up to create a destabilized image about Pakistan internationally, with the malafide intents that its government is to weak to rule. That it has turned vulnerable to the extent that its Nukes may fall in the hands of the Taliban extremist militants. Thus paving the way of these vested interests to have an excuse to walk in and take control of the Nukes themselves! Everyone, even a child in Pakistan speaks of this motive and who shall benefit and how from all this, if they succeed. The major factor contributing towards suspicions to the CIA are the drone (unmanned planes) missiles attacks within Pakistan’s territory causing death of innocent locals and destruction of their houses in the tribal belt is a counter-productive act being carried out by the CIA. It is a dampener for the US image within the hearts and minds of the local people of tribal areas as well as the whole of the Pakistani populace. The US made and Indian marking weapons seized during the recently launched Pakistan Army operation against the TTP in the FATA/PATA regions are all creating doubts about the US intentions towards Pakistan.http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/20/world/asia/20ammo.html?_r=1

It is baffling from where and whom Baithullah Masood the supremo of TTP gets 4 Arab PK Rupees to spend annually to maintain his force of 15000 militants?

Where are the intelligence agencies? Can they not locate the main headquarters of Taliban and AQ, and storm them to arrest all the senior leaders including Osama? Now the latest techniques can be use to locate the trouble makers easily.

But till now the Valiant armed forces and for once the Pakistani political forces have kept aside their differences and personal gains and shown exemplary display of discipline, faith and unity for the sake of the country’s solidarity and sovereignty and kept their motherland safe from these nefarious designs to succeed.

The above are though speculations yet! are definitely thought provoking!

P.s.

Recently, Mr.Richard Brooke,President.Obama’s,envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan has pointed out that it is the gulf country who are funding the Taliban's !

http://www.fox43.com/news/nationworld/sns-ap-eu-afghanistan-holbrooke,0,5007706.story

I certainly with all due respects for Mr.Brooke intelligence, don't agree with this contention of his that the Gulf states are supporting the Taliban cause.

Since,it is a fact that all are US allies and even if not an ally still none of them have the gall or guts to risk doing that against US+NATO,whose wrath they very well know they would not be able to sustain nor good for their health. Besides, what could they possibly benefit or gain by doing so ?.

Why,the clubbing of the two countries, as AF-PAK ?

Why,the clubbing of the two countries, as AF-PAK ?

It is strictly ridiculous having clubbed the two countries that is Afghanistan and Pakistan, as AF-Pak!.

Both have always been two separate sovereign states with a complete different, historical background, landscape, economy's, literacy, territorial and population size and militarily might and society etc. In short the only thing common between the two countries is religion and the common border known as the Durand line which distinguishes them as two separate entities.

The factual state is that Pakistan is only an ally of the US in the ongoing war on terror taking place in Afghanistan. It is being fought between the US and NATO forces with the Afghan Taliban's led by Mullah Omar. How does Pakistan fit into that scenario,I would ponder ? because Pakistan role is limited to remaining within the remit of its own territory, certainly not across its own border on the Afghanistan side !. Thus it indeed doesn't make any logical sense at all, as why their status has been clubbed as one ?.

If it is being done so on the basis that Pakistan is also battling an insurgency on its soil with the name sake so-called Taliban's then one must understand that the Taliban’s of Afghanistan and those who launched the insurgency within the Northern region of Pakistan (bordering Afghanistan) known as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are two different breeds with different, backgrounds, causes and agendas. The second thought that come s to mind is that probably are clubbing both the countries as one notion for extending the center of their activities from Afghanistan to Pakistan ?..

The ones engaged in battle with the US and the NATO Forces are led by Mullah Omar. Formerly, the Mujaheddin who fought the Soviets and drove them out from their country. Aided and supported mainly by the US and the rest comprising of the Arabs, Pan-Islamic and western country’s. Their main cause and agenda apparently is to drive the occupying US and NATO forces out of their country and to resume the lost power in their own country.

While on the other hand the insurgents operating within Pakistan, known as, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were led by Baitullah Mehsud (Killed sometime back in a drone attack in his house hit by a missile) who was a local belonging to the Mehsud tribe located alongside the border dividing the two countries in the North. This group consists of approximately a few thousands of local rogues and foreigners such as the Uzbek's, Chechen, Tajiks, few Arabs and Afghan's,hailing from the Northern Alliance group based in Afghanistan and supported/patronized by the RAW,and Afghan government installed by the US.They were raised and infltrated from across the border of Afghanistan into, Pakistan, having the agenda (a) to destabilize Pakistan to such an extent that it would appear like a failed state ripe to be taken over by the extremists with the nuclear arsenal (b)Providing the vested foreign interest to gain access to the nuclear facilities of Pakistan. This has been a constant eyesore for them since the first test blast was undertaken in 1998 byPakistan, in the after math of neighboring country India’s test blast (c) to malign Islam and Muslims in the eyes of the international community's.

It is strange that yesterdays friends have now been termed as fiends.Till the time they were bravely fighting, sacrificing, laying down their lives against the Soviets troops occupying their country, they were held in high admiration and referred as the brave Mujaheddin, engaged in Jihad (Performing an act in the name of Allah/God). But now since the shoe is on the other foot, US are the invader and the occupier of their land, they have suddenly been spurned from “Heroes to Zero” terming them as barbarians, killers, extremists and above all terrorists. I strictly recall that Afghanistan was invaded by the US on the pretext to get Osama bin Laden and his associates! Who after the sad and tragic incident of 9/11 were held responsible by the US, to have master minded the attack through their terrorist network called Al-Qaeda. Though it is another thing that today it is hugely suspected by independent private experts through researches and very detailed investigative facts and proofs that it was an inside job carried out with a pretext to launch the invasion in Afghanistan and subsequently in Iraq, keeping in mind multifaceted agendas for their own self interests, most of it understood to be, Oily!.

Coming back to the point at the time of the invasion the Taliban’s, were governing Afghanistan, and were never accused or sought out as being terrorists by the US. Their only crime at that time was that they had refused to hand over their fugitive guest Osama bin Laden, as it was against their tribal cultural norm and tradition. However, as understood from the media that just some days prior to the invasion by the US some direct and indirect contacts were made with them by the US; they (Taliban) had acceded to handover Osama with certain conditionality, but Alas! The gesture appeared to be too late. Thus the invasion came and the Taliban’s were ousted from their reign and the US propped up its own puppet regime .The rest is history now.

Now that after more then a decade Osama’s ghost having been busted and dumped in the sea, without having provided any evidence to the world! Yet the US and the NATO forces remain stationed there in Afghanistan, holding on control militarily of about just 35% to 40 % ,Why ?. There is nothing about Al-Qaeda, heard from them since the last many years! In fact they came after them and not the Taliban’s,whom they are engaged in fighting. Doesn’t make much sense to me as to what is the cause of the present war and that why is was it still carrying on in, Afghanistan.

These Taliban’s don’t appear to be capable of being a global threat like what the Al-Qaeda supposedly were thought to be, as terrorist related attacks around the world.

Hats off to the brave Pakistan army for carrying out a operation and uprooting the insurgents from the beautiful heaven on earth Swat valley located within the Northern region of Pakistan and in close proximity to the Afghan and Pakistan border! They laid down their lives protecting and cleansing the motherlands soil of the foreign stooges in the garb of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who were bent upon trying to impose their own brand and self styled form of Sharia completely alien to Islam which forbids suicide and terms it as haram (Sinful) ,does not stop females from acquiring education neither does it teach to disrespect them nor does it allow mosques to be bombed etc. They dared to attempt to destabilize Pakistan just so they could please their foreign masters who they served for monetary greed .

I sincerely wish and pray that our security agencies and the army would also pay some serious attention in getting rid of the foreign Private Military Contractors (PMC’s) paid mercenaries /merchant of death who are suspected to be present in large numbers in various cities of Pakistan to carry out covert subversive activities and that the meaningless war in Afghanistan ends soon with peace and harmony reigning once again in that beautiful land of Afghanistan and its terrorized citizens.Amen
